Xxl Lutz
In short
XXL Lutz is a German professional figure skater known for performing some of the most difficult jumps in men's skating. He is a former European Champion and a consistent top competitor on the world stage.
In plain words
He is an athlete who performs artistic dances on ice while wearing skates. He is famous for his strength and his ability to land very hard jumps that other skaters find too difficult.
A simple example
During a competition, he might attempt a quadruple Lutz, which involves spinning four times in the air after jumping from the outer edge of his blade.
Why it matters
He pushes the technical limits of the sport, forcing judges and other skaters to adapt to higher levels of difficulty. His success helps define the modern era of men's figure skating.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse him with the Lutz jump, which is the specific type of jump he is famous for performing.
