Xbox Cloud Gaming New Pricing
In short
Microsoft has introduced prepaid playtime packs for Xbox Cloud Gaming starting at $3.99 for 10 hours of play. This new model allows users to stream games without needing a monthly Game Pass subscription.
In plain words
Instead of paying a monthly fee, you can now buy specific amounts of gaming time. These packs offer an ad-free experience with high-quality streaming and shorter wait times. The hours you buy stay available until you use them.
A simple example
A player can spend $3.99 to get 10 hours of cloud gaming. They can use these hours whenever they like rather than being tied to a monthly bill.
Why it matters
This change makes cloud gaming accessible to casual players who do not want a full subscription. It provides more flexibility for people who only want to play games occasionally.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse these playtime packs with a standard Game Pass subscription, which provides ongoing access to a library of games.
