Who is Kenneth Gainwell?
In short
Kenneth Gainwell is a professional American football player who plays as a running back in the National Football League (NFL). He is currently a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
In plain words
In football, a running back is a player whose main job is to take the ball from the quarterback and run forward through the other team's defence. Gainwell is known for being a reliable player who helps move the ball down the field and protects the ball well during games.
A simple example
Imagine a game where the team needs to move ten yards to get a new set of plays. The quarterback hands the ball to Kenneth Gainwell, who then runs through a gap in the line of defenders to reach the target.
Why it matters
He is an important part of his team's strategy because he provides balance to their attack. By running the ball effectively, he helps tire out the opposing team and keeps the game moving in his team's favour.
Easy to mix up
People sometimes confuse him with other running backs who have similar playing styles or names. It is also easy to mix up his role with a wide receiver, but while a receiver catches long passes, Gainwell's main job is running with the ball in his hands.
