Twitch Tv
In short
An American video live-streaming service owned by Amazon that focuses on video games, esports, and creative content. It allows creators to broadcast live video while interacting with viewers in real time.
In plain words
It is a website where people watch others play games or perform live tasks. Viewers can chat with the person on screen using a text box. It is a way to hang out with creators online.
A simple example
A professional gamer plays a new release live for thousands of people. While playing, they answer questions from the chat to keep the audience engaged.
Why it matters
It has changed how people watch entertainment and how gamers build communities. It also provides a way for creators to earn money through subscriptions and adverts.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse it with YouTube, which is primarily for recorded videos rather than live interaction.
