T20 Challenge
In short
The Senior Women's T20 Challenger Trophy is an Indian women's cricket tournament featuring three representative teams. It serves as the Twenty20 format equivalent to the List A Senior Women's Challenger Trophy.
In plain words
Top female cricketers in India are split into three teams to compete against each other. This helps select the best players for the national squad. The teams have previously been named India Blue, Green, and Red.
A simple example
In the 2018–19 season, India Blue won the trophy by beating India Red by just 4 runs in the final match.
Why it matters
It provides high-level competitive matches for domestic players to prove their skills. This tournament is vital for identifying talent for the Indian national women's team.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse this with the standard international T20 World Cup or standard domestic league matches.
