Sportfreunde Stiller Oberhausen
In short
Sportfreunde Stiller is a German pop-rock band that has unexpectedly cancelled its scheduled concert in Oberhausen today due to illness. The cancellation occurred just four hours before the performance was due to start at the Turbinenhalle.
In plain words
The band was supposed to play a show in Oberhausen tonight. However, they had to call it off at the last minute because members of the group are unwell. This follows a similar cancellation for a concert in Bremen.
A simple example
Fans who travelled to the Turbinenhalle for the evening show arrived to find the event cancelled because the musicians were too sick to perform.
Why it matters
Last-minute cancellations cause significant frustration and travel costs for fans. It also disrupts the band's 30th-anniversary tour schedule.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse the band with the American actor Ben Stiller.
