Spacex
In short
SpaceX is an American aerospace manufacturer that provides space transportation, telecommunications, and artificial intelligence services. It is currently the world's most frequent orbital launch provider.
In plain words
This company builds rockets and spacecraft to carry things into space. They also run a massive network of satellites to provide high-speed internet to people all over the world.
A simple example
A person in a remote village uses a Starlink satellite dish to access the internet. Meanwhile, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carries a cargo capsule to the International Space Station.
Why it matters
It has significantly lowered the cost of reaching space through reusable rockets. This makes it easier for scientists and companies to launch satellites and explore the solar system.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse SpaceX with NASA, which is a government agency rather than a private company.
