Sorteo Superior
In short
Sorteo Superior is a regular lottery draw organised by Mexico's Lotería Nacional. The most recent draw, number 2900, took place on Friday 9 October 2026.
In plain words
It is a national game where people buy tickets to win cash prizes. The main prize for the latest draw was 17 million pesos. Winners have 60 days to claim their money.
A simple example
A person buys a small portion of a ticket, known as a 'cachito', to try and win the jackpot in the Friday draw.
Why it matters
It provides a way for the public to win large sums of money through official government-run games. It is one of the primary lottery events in Mexico.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse it with Melate, which is a different type of lottery game offered by the same institution.
