Scott Bakula After Ncis New Orleans
In short
Scott Bakula is set to return to CBS to lead a new detective drama series. This project comes five years after his role in NCIS: New Orleans ended.
In plain words
The actor is moving away from the NCIS universe to star in a different kind of crime show. The new series is being developed by Dean Devlin's Electric Entertainment.
A simple example

Why it matters
It marks a significant return to network television for the actor. It also shows CBS is investing in new detective stories to follow its successful NCIS franchise.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse this new detective series with a revival of NCIS: New Orleans.
