Pyramids Fc
In short
Pyramids FC is a professional Egyptian football club based in New Cairo that competes in the Egyptian Premier League.
In plain words
The club started in 2008 as Al Assiouty Sport before moving to Cairo. It is now one of the most well-funded teams in the Egyptian top flight.
A simple example
When the team plays a match in the Egyptian Premier League, they are competing against other top clubs like Al Ahly.
Why it matters
The club represents a significant shift in Egyptian football due to its heavy investment and ability to challenge the traditional dominance of older clubs.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse them with the ancient Egyptian pyramids, which are historical monuments rather than sports teams.
