Ps5
In short
The PlayStation 5 is a home video game console created by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It serves as the successor to the PlayStation 4 and is part of the ninth generation of gaming hardware.
In plain words
It is a powerful machine you plug into your television to play video games. It uses high-speed technology to make games look very realistic and load almost instantly.
A simple example
A player inserts a physical Blu-ray disc into the console or downloads a digital game to play high-definition titles like Spider-Man.
Why it matters
It allows gamers to experience advanced graphics and faster gameplay than previous systems. It also drives the development of new software and interactive entertainment.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse it with the PlayStation 4, which is the older model, or the PlayStation Portal, which is a handheld remote device.
