Politik
In short
Politics is the process by which groups of people make decisions that apply to everyone in a community or country. It involves managing power, creating laws, and deciding how public money is spent.
In plain words
It is how we decide who gets to lead and what the rules should be. People use voting, debates, and protests to influence these decisions. It shapes everything from school funding to local transport.
A simple example
A local council votes on whether to build a new park or a car park in the town centre. This decision changes how residents live and use their space.
Why it matters
Without politics, there would be no organised way to resolve disagreements between different groups. It provides a framework for keeping order and managing shared resources fairly.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse politics with policy; politics is the struggle for power, while policy is the specific plan or rule created once power is held.
