Livescore
In short
A real-time digital update providing the current score and key events of a sporting match as they happen.
In plain words
It is a live feed of sports results. Instead of waiting for the news, you can see goals, points, or cards instantly on your phone or computer.
A simple example
A football fan watches a match on TV but checks a livescore app to see if a goal was scored in a different game happening at the same time.
Why it matters
It allows fans to follow multiple matches simultaneously without needing multiple screens. It provides instant data for bettors and enthusiasts globally.
Easy to mix up
It is often confused with a full match replay or a highlight reel, which show video rather than just data.
