Kompany

In plain words
He was a famous defender who played for Manchester City for many years. Now, he works as a coach, leading teams from the touchline instead of playing on the pitch.
A simple example

Why it matters
He is a highly respected figure in world football due to his leadership skills. His transition from a captain to a manager shows how top athletes can change careers.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse him with the German word 'Kompagnie', which means a company or a unit of soldiers.
