The dates for his potential rest or shutdown are not confirmed here.
Why it matters
Barkley is considered an essential piece of the Eagles franchise, but the team's poor 2-6 record and his injury history make his usage a major tactical dilemma. Deciding whether to play him or rest him affects both the current season and his future value.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse his current status with trade rumours; although some suggest trading him to retool, the Eagles have stated they do not intend to move him.
