Gta vs
In short
Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in late November 2026. Its release follows the removal of Grand Theft Auto V from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on 17 November.
In plain words
GTA 6 is the next big open-world game from Rockstar Games. It offers massive upgrades over the previous game, GTA 5. While the main game launches on consoles first, a PC version is expected later.
A simple example
Players can preload GTA 6 digitally starting on 12 November, just before the full release.
Why it matters
The game is one of the most anticipated entertainment events of the year. It faces heavy competition from titles like Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2 and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse the upcoming GTA 6 release with the removal of GTA 5 from subscription services.
