Fa Vase Draw
In short
The FA Vase second round draw has paired Carlisle City against Shildon for an away fixture. This follows recent first-round results where teams like Brocton and Lye progressed, while Blyth Town and Burnham were knocked out.
In plain words
This is the process of deciding which amateur football teams play each other in the next stage of the FA Vase competition. It determines the match-ups and whether a team plays at home or away.
A simple example
After winning their first matches, Brocton and Lye were placed into the next round of fixtures through this draw.
Why it matters
The draw dictates the difficulty of a team's path toward the final. It also determines travel requirements and home advantage for clubs in the lower tiers of English football.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse this with the FA Cup draw, which is for professional and semi-professional clubs.
