Ejercito Mexicano
In short
The Mexican Army is the land and air branch of the Mexican Armed Forces, comprising over 260,000 active-duty personnel. It includes the Mexican Air Force, the Special Forces Body, and the National Guard.
In plain words
It is the main military group responsible for defending Mexico's land and airspace. Besides fighting, it also runs state-owned businesses and helps with national security through the National Guard.
A simple example
A soldier in the Mexican Army might be part of a Special Forces unit conducting a rescue mission or working in a military-run factory.
Why it matters
It is the largest part of Mexico's military and plays a massive role in both national defence and internal security. It also manages significant state-run corporate activities.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse it with the Mexican Navy, which handles maritime and sea-based operations.
