Early Voting Nc
In short
Early voting in North Carolina allows registered voters to cast their ballots in person before the official Election Day.
In plain words
Instead of waiting until the final election date, you can visit a polling site early. This helps spread out the crowds and makes it easier for people with busy schedules to vote.
A simple example
A worker who cannot leave the office on Tuesday can visit an early voting site the previous Friday to vote instead.
Why it matters
It increases voter turnout by providing more flexibility. It also reduces long queues and pressure on polling stations during the final hours of an election.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse early voting with absentee voting, which involves requesting a ballot to be sent to your home.
