Eagles Qb
In short
Jalen Hurts is the starting quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL. He leads the team's offence through both passing and running plays.
In plain words
The quarterback is the leader of the team on the pitch. He calls the plays and decides where to throw the ball. He must be quick and smart to help his team score points.
A simple example
During a game, Hurts might see a teammate running free and throw a long pass to them. He might also run the ball himself to get closer to the goal line.
Why it matters
The quarterback is often the most important player on a football team. If the quarterback plays well, the team has a much better chance of winning matches.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse the quarterback position with the wide receiver, who is the player catching the passes.
