Dr Nice
In short
Dr Nice is a fictional character from the classic British comedy series known for his polite but absurdly helpful demeanour.
In plain words
He is a character who always tries to be kind and well-mannered, even when things are going wrong. His extreme politeness often makes situations more awkward or funny for the other characters.
A simple example
When a building is collapsing, Dr Nice might offer a cup of tea to the people trapped inside. He prioritises etiquette over the actual emergency.
Why it matters
The character serves as a parody of the overly formal British gentleman. He highlights how social rules can sometimes become ridiculous in real-life crises.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse him with Dr No, the villain from the James Bond film series.
