Car Chase
In short
A high-speed pursuit where one or more vehicles attempt to outrun others, most commonly involving police officers chasing criminal suspects.
In plain words
It is a race between cars on public roads. Usually, the police are trying to catch someone who is driving badly or breaking the law to avoid being caught.
A simple example
A thief steals a car and drives through city streets at high speeds. A police patrol car follows closely behind with sirens on to stop them.
Why it matters
These events are dangerous for drivers, passengers, and pedestrians. They often result in accidents and are frequently filmed by news crews or bystanders.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse this with a drag race, which is a controlled competition between drivers on a closed track.
