Battlefront 3
In short
Battlefront 3 is a highly anticipated video game that has not yet been officially released or confirmed by Electronic Arts. Fans have long awaited a direct sequel to the 2015 rebooted series.
In plain words
It is a hypothetical third game in the Star Wars shooter series. Players would expect to fight large-scale battles using characters and vehicles from the Star Wars films.
A simple example
A player might control a squad of Stormtroopers to capture a base on a desert planet like Tatooine.
Why it matters
The title represents a major gap in the Star Wars gaming library. Its eventual release would likely define the next generation of large-scale cinematic combat games.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse it with the 2015 Star Wars Battlefront, which was a reboot rather than a direct sequel.
