Ashby Brewers
In short
The Milwaukee Brewers currently hold a 2-0 lead in the National League Championship Series (NLCS) against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Their pitching staff, particularly the bullpen, has been the deciding factor in securing these early victories.
In plain words
The Brewers are a professional baseball team from Milwaukee. They are currently winning a major playoff series by using strong relief pitchers to stop the Dodgers from scoring late in games.
A simple example
In Game 2, reliever Aaron Ashby pitched 1.2 scoreless innings and struck out two batters to secure a save, helping the Brewers win 7-4.
Why it matters
The Brewers' ability to dominate with their bullpen has turned the series around compared to last season. This momentum puts them in a strong position to reach the World Series.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse the Milwaukee Brewers baseball team with the actual brewing of beer, which is a common industry in Wisconsin.
