Alcs Mvp
In short
The ALCS MVP is an annual award given to the most impactful player during the American League Championship Series in Major League Baseball.
In plain words
It recognises the best player in the final series before the World Series for the American League. One player wins it for the American League and another for the National League.
A simple example
If a shortstop hits three home runs to lead his team to the World Series, he might win the ALCS MVP.
Why it matters
It celebrates individual excellence during the most high-pressure games of the postseason. Winning this award marks a player as a crucial figure in their team's championship run.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse this with the World Series MVP, which is awarded after the final championship round.
