Afd Brandenburg
In short
The AfD Brandenburg is the regional branch of the Alternative for Germany party located in the German state of Brandenburg. It operates as a right-wing populist organisation within the state's political landscape.
In plain words
This is a local group of a larger German political party. They focus on politics specifically for the people living in the Brandenburg region. They hold seats in the local state parliament.
A simple example
A voter in Potsdam might cast a ballot for an AfD Brandenburg candidate to represent their interests in the state assembly.
Why it matters
The group influences regional laws and policy decisions in Brandenburg. Their presence in the state parliament affects how the local government functions and debates national issues.
Easy to mix up
Do not confuse this regional branch with the main national AfD party leadership in Berlin.
